Providing the rad will clear the sheetmetal of the grille, you would need to weld a pair of tangs underneath the front crossmember and add a support rod from the rad to the firewall. When I did mine I also changed the grille so I can't address whether or not a CJ3A grille will allow it to clear. The tangs, of course, must be aligned correctly as to spacing and angle. I acquired the tangs from a junker frame. There are notches in the tangs that have compound angles in order to fit under the crossmember which make it difficult to make one's own.

Has any one had any experience slipping a bottom mount radiator into a side mount configuration.
