Way neat, thanks for sharing.

So when you are wide open I wonder if it works just as good at the wipers do.  At that speed though you can just poke your head around from the inside of the window frame to cool off. ;)

I've never seen one.  That's a slick accessory.  I like the rubber blade version too. Thanks for sharing this stuff.  8-)

It's pretty neat to find a nice old item like that--and even better when you discover it even works!

This is the fan that was on your Jeep originally:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Trico-Vacuum-Car-Auto-Hot-Rod-Dash-Defrost-Fan-/301703773004?hash=item463ef23b4c&vxp=mtr

It had soft rubber blades, and not very much oomph. You could have stuck your eyeball in the fan and it wouldn't have hurt. We used to drive around on very hot days with the fan going just for psychological reasons as much as anything else.

I found this today. I figured it was dried out after years of sitting but when I plugged it into the vacuum hose on my 3A if woke right up. Pretty neat little fan. I'm told my 3A had a similar one back around the time it was new. The fan was mounted to the steering column and helped defrost the windshield when the half cab was installed. Cool gadget.
