Hi All,

Thanks for the feedback, yes it is a L134.  So it sounds like the consensus is go back to mechanical. New or Fix the existing one.  I had heard people complain about the starting issues with mechanical an that had me a little concerned..

Thanks Again...

I would hazard a guess that the mechanical failed at some point and the PO spliced in the electrical vs. fixing what was broken.

IMHO, I think the mechanical should be evaluated to see if it can be returned to service (could be just a diaphragm).  Scoutpilot has a lot experience.

You may still want to hold on to the electrical for a b/u.

Can we assume it has the L-134 in it? If so, go back to the mechanical.

Hi All,
I am in the process of "restoring" a somewhat Frankenstein 1950 CJ3a. It had a electric fuel pump when I got it, I have it down to the frame now.  Currently there is a Mechanical Pump on it that doesn't function with a hose pitch off.  The question is should I put a new Mechanical Pump or stick with the electric.  I am not looking for a period restore just for a jeep looks descent and run good. What do you guys think?
