Is it possible to re-silver the inside of one of the bulls-eye bulbs? I have 2 of these bulbs on my CJ3A, but one of them apparently had water in it for a while. It dried out and still works, but it's dark compared to its shiny brother.

Per "The Civilian Jeep- Model CJ-3A" written by Bob Westerman, originals might be Corcoran-Brown, but other companies may have also supplied the headlights for the 3A.

Edit...You're Killing me Bob! I need an updated version!

Without going back to see what the source is for this information - I'm thinking the headlight assembly (bucket etc) was made by Corcoran-Brown using a Auto-Lite bulbs.

This 3A was very original so I think the auto lite bullseye is original. I posted it in the watned section as well but anyone have a bullseye bulb working or not?

Thanks Tom

In 1934 Electric Auto-Lite purchased the Corcoran-Brown Lamp Company and it operated as a division of Auto-Lite.

Corcoran-Brown and Auto-lite are closely related.

The "bulls eye" bulbs show up most commonly on original unrestored CJ-3As.

Is there a "correct" 3A headlight from the factory. Ours has one old auto lite bulls eye headlight and one GE?

Thanks Tom
