Sweet Jeep, a lot of guys like the tops, I wouldn't scrap it

I just inherited a 1950 Willys CJ-3A and will be bringing it back to Texas after being in Colorado for 50 years. It has an aluminum shell that covers the entire compartment. I truly dislike the cover because it looks bad and just makes it difficult to get in and out of.

The glass windows on the driver and passenger door have been missing for many years. The other glass (back door and sides) is intact and in decent shape.

Does anyone know if the cover is desirable to someone restoring a CJ-3A? I would like it to go to a good home rather than a scrap yard. Any info you can provide would be appreciated.
