Thanks for the replies and reference photos. I agree that may have some body filler in the holes and will check for mounting location. I may go with a set of reproductions, but this gives me a better idea when shopping. Thanks again.

I would expect them to be black. Not really sure what's going on there. This photo has been eating at me for a while.

Reversed negative. Look at the license plate on the 3A.

Short hood blocks are commonly found on the early 3As. The color of the windshield pivot brackets and the door channel are the things that I think are unusual.

The hood blocks do look stubby.  Maybe it's an early 3A thing before they realized the blocks need to be taller?  I couldn't imagine they wouldn't have tested that though.

The last picture in the series (different 3A) has the taller blocks.  Curious.

I suppose that's possible but it still looks short even in other pics of the same Jeep, doesn't it? And what do you make of the stubby hood blocks?

Mine looks just like the others.� Your original mounting holes may have been filled, but you're almost certain to see the original mirror bracket mounting holes on the inside face of your cowl area. Look for Four 1/4" holes tightly spaced.

Another one of my favorite photos. Check out that stubby mirror arm though. And are those 2A hood blocks? Possibly offset like a 2A?

The mirror on mine looks just like Ryans...I too got a new mirror as the old one was cracked. As far as I know the arm is original.

I think the longer arms make the mirror more functional regardless of the originality...
