LOL, I hadn't noticed that, the tree sure does have a Jeep outline.

Hey, Calvin and I invited anyone to come with us and I can assure you I would have worn you out driving the trails and dugways.

As long as the BLM and environmentalists leave San Juan County alone we will have some wonderful trails and sites to visit and it does no damage to the land or the sites if your respectful of the value and beauty of the land.

It would be hard to express the happiness I have just driving the old Jeep trails and dugways and looking for Anasazi ruins. Not all of them are spectacular but they all are interesting to me.

Remember, do no harm.

I agree with you. On the first picture, look like a jeep on the top of the rock if we check it rapidly.

In an obscure way, it looks like a flatty sitting a top that point.

I'm pathetic, been living in Utah almost my whole life.  I've never seen such ruins. :-[

Neat stuff. Really puts things in perspective when out this way an "old building" is 200 years old.

We took Calvins Cherokee on this because of the distance. It was also a 2+ mile hike to The Citadel ruin area then more to the ruin. It was a hard climb for us old folks up to the ruin. Here is a photo approaching it.

Here's a good shot of the causeway leading to The Citadel.

Here's a shot just below the ruins under the cap rock. There is a trail all the way around the rock and I did that trail and found more minor ruins.

Then we hiked back to the car and drove over to the Moon House ruins. It was a short hike to the rim of the canyon overlooking the ruins on the other side. There is a trail down and up to them but we were to tired to do it. Calvin and I will go back to do that trail.

On the way back to the car we made more cairns to show the way and I found this huge mean snake.

Well, actually he was only about 1/4" in diameter but interesting looking. After the photo opp I put the rock back on him so he could get his rest.
