I've admired the Declaration for some time, since I was young, but just recently I had pause to read it again.  A most amazing piece of work.  It truly is a letter to the world explaining why the United States decided to cut its ties to England.  It defines the reasons, our attempts to resolve the problem, response by the King.  Truly amazing.

In my view, that is the finest document that has ever been written.  Both brilliant and courageous are the men who set this country on its path.

Happy Independence Day to all of you and your families.
