I'll show what I did under mod's. I have the 2nd tailgate but it needs some work and when I get working on my trailer I will paint it to match, sometime in the hopefully near future.

The two tailgate idea is great....an M-38 tail gate should already have re-enforcing braces......but they would be easily added in any case....

congrat's stuff just sitting around not being used is not good. I put water and gas can holders on my tailgate and they can be removed. I was happy with how it turned out but didn't like the holes when they were off. What I am going to do is get a 2nd tailgate and that way I can keep it on most of the time but put the other gate on when I want to.

I paid 40$ for the jerry can carrier. It's a used one but look in good shape. It has been sandblasted and got a primer. It stamped MS 53052-1 USMC on the front of it. There is no date on it but I don't really care.

I plan to sandblast the jerry can and paint everything in black.

I just don't know yet how to attach it to the jeep.

So here is some pictures;

I got the 3A for a short trail outside with the kids today. It was very fun with the four inch of snow that we got since yesterday.

It was like my gift to myself. Yep! Its my birthday! 38 years old.

I got the attention of my neightborough and he gave me two USMC gas tank. One dated 1978 and the other 1953. The 53 is nicer than the 78. I told him after receiving it that it was my birthday and i appreciated a lot.
