I bought my '49 for $1000. It is all original and unmolested. The body is in good repairable shape for living in the rust belt. I'd give $1500 for that one.

I think Mac should be glad he didn't buy it. I'm thinking about $1000 max and I am thinking $800 is a good price for it. After my experience buying my Jeep and the issues I've had. Buying one of these old Jeeps is a crap shoot and it seems like shortly after you start driving it all kinds of issues you didn't know about start showing up.

Later today when Macgraham checked back to test drive this Jeep it had been sold.  When Mac was talking to the owner yesterday he came down from $2500 to $1500 just that quick.  The seller had acquired it as part of an estate sale.  Don't know how much he paid for it.  Don't know what it went for today.  We may see it on the 3B Page.

Macgraham came across this 1961 CJ-3B in his area yesterday. It's so straight and clean that he's tempted to buy it and drive it while he is restoring the "Beautifully Restored" 3A he purchased earlier and then found it to be UN-roadworthy. Since he's been having a little trouble posting pics here he asked me to post them for him. Any input (value, concerns, etc) from the group would help him decide whether or not to buy it.
