That's a cool way to celebrate an anniversary.

I remember watching a little video online somewhere about the inventor of WD-40. The WD stands for "Water Displacement" and the 40 is because it was the 40th formula attempted to meet the requirements by Norm Larsen. Very cool success story.

Trying to avoid sitting in the rush hour go-home traffic, I swung in Northern Tool, just to cruise the aisles.  I'd rather look at cheap Chinese tools than the bumper of the car ahead of me....  ;)

I did need some more WD-40 for my garage door.  They had a two pack on sale for 6.99.  When I picked up the can(s), one was the familiar blue/yellow can.  The other was "generic" in appearance; yellow with black block lettering stating "WD-40"  I read the wrapper around the cans, apparently it's their anniversary and they are bundling a modern can with the original can (or course both have the product inside).  They text on the wrapper says they started in 1953 and WD-40 was originally developed to prevent corrosion on Atlas missles.  Didn't know that.

Hey !  My Willys is 1953 !!  I can toss it in the tool bag with the other old tools I have !!

Now my 1953 Willys will have a 1953 can of WD-40.

Yep, it's the little things that make me  :)
